For four years, Tamika has been an active volunteer for Operation Smile. As Miss Virginia International she will continue her work to raise public awareness about the work of Operation Smile and the need for active volunteers. Operation Smile is an international children's medical charity founded in 1982 to provide reconstructive facial surgery to children and young adults. Since 1982 more than 140,000 patients have been treated in developing countries and the United States free of charge.

The
Miss Virginia International pageant has been developed to promote the
accomplishments of young women, ages 19 to 29 who live, work, or go to school
in
No experience is necessary, and there is no talent or swimsuit
competition. We are looking for young women with poise, sophistication
and who are civic minded.
This is a great opportunity no matter what your experience level.
Competition Scoring
Interview (40%) is the contestant's opportunity to talk about her platform and to let the judges get to know her. Dress for interview is Business Attire.
Aerobic Wear (20%) is the phase of competition where each contestant is judged on being physically fit, energetic, and healthy. All contestants will wear a two piece aerobic wear outfit from a preferred vendor.
Fashion Runway Presentation (20%) is an outfit that the contestant would wear to a fun party or dressy event. This should reflect the contestant's personality and personal style. All fun fashion wear outfits must be approved by the Director.
Evening Wear (20%) is the phase of competition to show elegance. The judges are looking for confidence, level of comfort on stage in the gown and stage presence.
